The 71st Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF 71) is now underway in Nairobi, Kenya. Organized by the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) and its partners, this hybrid event runs from August 25th to 27th, 2025.

Under the theme “Climate Services for Closing the Early Warning Gap Together,” the forum brings together a diverse group of climate scientists, policymakers, researchers, development partners, and private sector representatives.

The goal is to evaluate the performance of the June to September (JJAS) 2025 season, and, importantly, to present the consolidated regional climate outlook for the upcoming October–December (OND) 2025 season.
