Africa Check, in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Media Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa, has officially opened applications for its highly anticipated 2025 Fact-Checking Fellowship. The 12-day immersive programme will take place from 3 to 18 November 2025 at Africa Check’s offices in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing together emerging fact-checkers and journalists from across the continent.
Building Information Resilience, Piece by Piece
The fellowship is designed to equip participants with cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and editorial strategies to combat misinformation and strengthen information ecosystems in Africa. Through hands-on training, expert-led sessions, and collaborative projects, fellows will gain practical experience in verifying claims, analyzing data, and producing impactful fact-checks.
Who Should Apply?
The programme is open to:
- African journalists and media professionals
- Fact-checkers working in newsrooms, civil society, or independent platforms
- Individuals with a demonstrated interest in verification, media literacy, and accountability journalism
