Kampala, Uganda – October 31, 2025
Uganda’s Ministry of Water and Environment, through its Climate Change Department (CCD), has officially invited climate actors, innovators, and development partners to host side events at the Uganda Pavilion during the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), scheduled for November 10–21, 2025 in Belém, Brazil.
The announcement, issued on October 29, outlines a strategic opportunity for stakeholders to showcase Uganda’s climate leadership, promote investment and tourism, and foster inclusive dialogue aligned with global climate goals. The side events will run daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Uganda Pavilion, offering a platform for engagement across key negotiation themes.

Let’s amplify Uganda’s climate leadership and foster global collaboration,” CCD posted on X (formerly Twitter), using the hashtags #UgAtCOP30 and #ClimateAction.

Applicants are encouraged to align their proposed events with the following UNFCCC negotiation tracks:
- Adaptation and Loss and Damage
- Mitigation
- Capacity Building
- Finance Mobilization
- Technology Development and Transfer
- Gender
- Legal and Compliance
Submission Guidelines
Interested parties must submit a two-page concept note detailing the theme, objectives, format, and target audience of their proposed event. The deadline for submission is November 2, 2025, and applications should be submitted via the official link:
