The Government of Kenya invites organisations and partners to support the 11th Our Ocean Conference, taking place from 16–18 June 2026 in Mombasa.

Kenya has announced it will host the 11th Our Ocean Conference from 16–18 June 2026 in Mombasa, marking the first time the global gathering will take place on African soil.
The event is expected to bring together governments, civil society, the private sector, and scientific institutions to advance ambitious and accountable ocean action. Organisers say the conference will focus on implementation and measurable progress, positioning Africa at the centre of global ocean and climate priorities.
The Government of Kenya is inviting organisations and partners to support the landmark meeting through sponsorship. Officials highlight that sponsorship offers a unique opportunity to:
- Demonstrate leadership in ocean sustainability.
- Align with global ocean and climate priorities.
- Engage directly with high-level decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Support delivery of a conference focused on action and accountability.
Expressions of interest are welcomed from organisations committed to driving meaningful progress for the ocean. Inquiries can be directed to ooc11.kenyansecretariat@blueeconomy.go.ke (cc: ps@blueeconomy.go.ke).
The conference is part of a series that has, since 2014, mobilised commitments worth billions of dollars for marine conservation, sustainable fisheries, and climate resilience. Kenya’s hosting is seen as a milestone moment for Africa’s role in shaping the global ocean agenda.
