Research Internship Application 

ClimaTalk is a youth-led non-profit organisation that seeks to demystify climate policy and empower young people in the fight for climate action. We are a diverse, international team of over 100 young volunteers from more than 30 countries. Please note that all work is voluntary.

We are looking for one to two Research Intern to join us from mid-October 2025. The intern(s) will work directly with our Editor-in-Chief and Commissioning Editor at the heart of the ClimaTalk team.

Duration: between 4-6 months, or longer (choose your preference below)

Hrs/week: either part-time (15-20 hrs/week) or full-time (30-35 hrs/week) – choose your preference in the form

Start date:  mid-October (a later date can be discussed but we prefer earlier)

Location: remote

Remuneration: none (everyone at ClimaTalk is volunteering; we unfortunately don’t have the means to offer payment). 

Role description: 

  • Review all of our past articles and create a comprehensive, searchable database.
  • Identify gaps in our coverage and propose new topics that should be addressed.
  • Research and suggest bi-weekly topics for authors to write on, drawing from both missing coverage and current climate policy developments.
  • Monitor and research weekly climate policy news.
  • Write for our publication editions if interested.
  • Edit and update past content.
  • Other tasks depending on need and capacity.

Requirements and expectations:

  • You are reachable and reliable (we need to be able to count on you!).
  • You are passionate about ClimaTalk’s work. 
  • You have a fluent level of English. 
  • You have access to a stable internet connection, as our work and communication is entirely online.
  • You communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
  • You are between 18 and 30 years old.
