The Max Thabiso Edkins Youth Ambassador Program is a six-month virtual program of the World Bank’s Youth2Youth (Y2Y) community and Connect4Climate (C4C),  designed to equip young changemakers with knowledge of the world’s most urgent development challenges and skills to innovate responsive solutions.

Applications are now open for the 2026 cohort, welcoming candidates aged 20–30, including students, early-career professionals, young entrepreneurs, creatives, and community organizers.

From April to October, the selected ambassadors will learn from World Bank Group experts and partners on priority sectors including energy, water, agribusiness, gender equality, health, tourism and digital innovation, with job creation at the center; act to respond to pressing development challenges; network with peers and professionals across the world; engage by taking part in a global alumni community and accessing impactful collaboration opportunities throughout the program and beyond.
