Call for Expressions of Interest: Uganda Seeks Experts for Greenhouse Gas Inventory Training

The Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE), through its Climate Change Department (CCD), has announced a call for expressions of interest for consultancy services aimed at strengthening Uganda’s capacity in Greenhouse Gas Inventory (GHGI) development. This initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Africa Innovations Institute (AfrII), with support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through Conservation International.
📘 Assignment Overview
The consultancy will focus on delivering specialized training in GHGI methodologies across Uganda’s key sectors: Agriculture, Forestry, Energy, Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU), Transport, and Waste. The training will be hosted at AfrII in Kampala and is designed to enhance national reporting systems and support Uganda’s climate commitments under the UNFCCC.

👥 Who Should Apply?
Applications are open to individual consultants and consulting firms with:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in climate change, GHGI/MRV systems, and capacity building
  • Proven expertise in training and technical reporting
  • Prior involvement in GEF-funded projects is considered an added advantage
