Free AFP course trains journalists to verify AI content

NAIROBI, May 17 (NECJOGHA) — Agence France‑Presse (AFP) has launched a free online course to help journalists identify and verify AI‑generated content.

The 75‑minute program covers the basics of artificial intelligence and its impact on the information ecosystem. It explains common types of AI‑generated misinformation and offers methodology and best practices for verification.

“Calling all journalists: if you want to learn how to identify and verify AI‑generated content, AFP has launched a new, open‑access online course,” AFP News said in a statement. “It takes about an hour and includes plenty of case studies and exercises.”
